jOhn's been moaning about all the Kerry threads. Other people have been moaning about all the Hull threads. We need to determine who is actually more popular on Mudcat, Kerry or jOhn from Hull...jOhn from Hull or Kerry?

Then we can ban the less popular one and save bandwidth. What say?

I don't want to influence the voting process unduly, so I will not reveal my vote at this time... :-)

I've been wondering about that too, TIA. The mental picture I have of jOhn from Hull is pretty disturbing. I picture a tall, bearded, unkempt individual with a mad gleam in his eyes, his clothes disheveled and dirty, his fingers stained with nicotine and detritus. I picture him shambling down the seamier streets of Hull giving the eye to washerwomen and uttering incoherent outbursts at passersby. I picture him advancing ominously into seedy pubs, as the patrons shrink back, assaulting people who are foolish enough to ask him for a cigarette, and demanding "Whisky!" in thunderous tones which brook no opposition. I picture him cackling insanely as he types the word "rubbish" for the 6 millionth time on his computer keyboard in his noxious hovel of a flat.

All this may, however, be entirely innacurate. He may look like a nice little respectable clerical chap. An accountant or something like that. Who can say?

I figure it like this: jOhn would start an "Is Iraq Rubbish" thread (in one of its variant spellings--all original) and by the time the thread was done so too would all interest in the geographical location of Iraq be done, and hence, peace would reign.

jOhn has better jokes than Kerry. Kerry has that cryogenic look about him , and his jokes were crap on letterman.

The thing that really works for Kerry is that he hasn't started any wars and that people like Martin Gibson who go about being nasty to everyone don't like him.

At least Blair made some sort of apology for this last war. It's inadequate when you consider what a terrible thing war is. Bush keeps banging on that the world's a safer place - not for those people who are dead its not.

It's not clear to me what we are voting on...

If it is whether I've found the us pres. election, etc. threads more interesting than the rubbish, etc. threads then Kerry gets my vote.

If we are voting for an intelligent person with integrity and decency, or for the person I'd prefer to have a drink with, or for US president then John From Hull gets my vote.

Having just read the "Dead People in Freezers" thread, I would unhesitatingly vote for sir jOhn from hull. I've often felt that Kerry is unduly ambivalent about the whole area of cryogenics.
