This is about an ad that MoveOn Pac proposes to put on the air; it's in the form of a message from her to George Bush and it's hard to watch. I wish there was some way to be sure he sees it.

... before we decided to air this ad in a big way, we talked to Ms. Sheehan to make sure that she understood how difficult the press attention she'd get from this could be. We were concerned that because the press covers everything as a horse race or a battle or a game, they wouldn't know how to deal with the honesty of this ad.

She's a very brave woman. She simply said, "They can't hurt me more than I've already been hurt."

If she's up for it, we are. Let's help Cindy Sheehan be heard.

TRANSCRIPT OF CINDY SHEEHAN'S AD

(A message to George W. Bush...)

His Sergeant said "Sheehan, you don"t have to go," cause my son was a mechanic. He was a Humvee mechanic. And Casey said, "Where my chief goes, I go." And he knew what had to be done. He died in his best friend"s arms in Iraq.

I imagined it would hurt if one of my kids was killed, but I never thought it would hurt this bad – especially someone so honest and brave as Casey, my son. When you haven"t been honest with us. When you and your advisors rushed us into this war. How do you think we felt when we heard the Senate report that said there was no link between Iraq and 9-11?

It was a difficult one to watch, Clint, I agree. The toll on moms and other loved one is so high. A mom in AZ died of an aneurysm a few days after viewing her son's body...she was so distraught they took her to the hospital then. She was only 45 and now her husband and family have a double loss to deal with...
