Hello all,

It's the Sheffield singing session this coming Sunday (24th Oct).

Kelham Island Tavern
Russel St
Sheffield

8.30 onwards

10 real ales, no smoking!

Anyone know any Trafalgar songs?

Rich

Perhaps the Pace-egging Song is the wrong season but does feature Nelson quite prominently!

Drat - every time I say I will be able to make it, summat comes up and prevents it. So I'd better not pronounce my plan to make it this week.... But I've been to 2 of these sessions this year and they've been great, so no doubt I'll get to see you there some time Rich and Jess!
Cheers
M

A drop of Nelson's blood wouldn't do us any harm

Can't make it, the airfare is too much, however please sing Mars for Evermore for me. Have a pint for me too (or should that be spelled TWO?)

whats the parking like there - is it accessible for people who can't get up steps very well?

there's loads of parking (massive car park directly opposite the pub which belongs to fabric warehouse & other shops but which is open in the evenings so pub customers can use it for free). The pub itself is all on the flat (including the loos) and the session happens in the back room, not an upstairs room or anything, so good access for those with restricted mobility or even wheelchairs.

What a fantastic session last night!!! Great range of material and some brilliant harmonies. Started singing just before 9, didn't finish til gone midnight and with it being half term a lot of people who teach and normally need to leave early so as to get up for school in the morning could stay til the end.
Thank you to those that came, I'm looking forward to next month already :)

Jess

Well, personaly I am now looking forward to next year. Great to hear you have booked your tickets already. Let us know when and if you need a place to stay anytime. It's a real shame you had such a good sounding sing without us being there to hear it:)
