You asked if this song would be added to the Digital Tradition, and that's a question I can't answer. Dick Greenhaus and Susan Friedman make those choices. I format them and tag them in the threads, but it's up to Dick and Susan to do the choosing. I do my best to index songs in the Forum, so they can be found easily with the Filter.

This group uses the lyrics Jim posted above, singing the first part twice, and then the second part twice.

Beautiful music and lyrics. The Pro Arte Singers & IU Chamber Choir version (Paul Hillier) is absolutely gorgeous. Coventry Carol and Jesus Christ The Apple Tree are also wonderfully delightful. "I wonder as I wander...".

Yes, thanks, Bonnie, and I have the page from the link Jim Dixon linked above. But it has the first line beginning with a "1." which implies there are other verses- but no further verses are included!

On Paul Hilliar's beautiful cd, Home to Thanksgiving they just sing the verse twice and the chorus twice and that's it. I may have to resort to doing the same!

More Shaker titles here. There are some duplications which seem to be different editions of the same collection (among the harp stuff I've also seen different scans of the same book).

It's a Shaker hymn, supposedly in the Mt. Lebanon hymnal which I don't have. I can't find it at Cyberhymnal. Does anyone have a choral arrangement?
