Concertina in Being Julia

I was at a William 'Grit' Laskin slide show and concert on the weekend. Grit is one of the world's finest luthiers and master of inlay. He is also a singer-songwriter, lover of trad, and multi-instrumentalist. He played some concertina at the concert, and told us that he's the guy playing a concertina solo in the movie 'Playing Julia'.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but it's playing in theatres now. Has anyone here seen it? If so, did you notice the concertina solo?

No wonder nobody knows nothing about it! I called the movie "Playing Julia" in my initial post, instead of giving you the correct title, which is "Being Julia".

Playing concertina. Being Julia. There you go....

Another great skill displayed by Grit Laskin!
His inlay work is well known instrumental and song writing skills are well known; but what's not generally known is that he's also one of the funniest humans on earth.
At several of the annual "The Woods" musical learning weeks, he kept us all well supplied with belly laughs.

Totally! I'll never forget the time that Grit and Tom Lewis did an impromptu Olympics at the swimming dock. When they got into syncronized swimming, I thought I'd die.

Geez, I snoozed, I loozed- the film was here in the nearest town for a week, but I blinked and missed it. I'll have to wait for the video, now!
