yep...ol' Pat is right up there. He is the lightening rod of the process of process of turning this country into a Christian version of Nazi Germany...he is not the most 'dangerous' part, as those don't SAY...out loud and publically...what Pat does, but he stokes the fire for those who have control over the fireplace.

Its interesting that religion as a means of controlling the masses works so well. This is a modern day version of tried and true Catholic methodology. The book of Revelations is especially helpful. Its hard to believe that it still works on educated people.

Its interesting that religion as a means of controlling the masses works so well.

My own personal opinion is that controlling the masses is precisely the purpose for which organized religion was created/invented/developed in the first place.

Carol - I disagree - but I don't want to get into an argument about it because neither one of us is likely to change our minds on the subject. In my opinion - in 2004 - the best means of controlling the masses in through television. Both Madison Ave and the ultra conservative religious right have learned how to use it to their advantage. And both of them are laughing all the way to the bank.
