Subject: RE: Distant Shores - Folk Music on TV From: Geoff the Duck Date: 25 Jan 05 - 07:27 PM The programme has been quirky and entertaining so far. The odd bits of music have included fiddles and Northumbrian pipes. I have been wondering who the actual real musicians might be. Any accurate inside info anyone? I do note that the musical score is credited to Nick Bicat (pardon if spelling is incorrect), who was credited with music for The Irish RM - one of Channel 4's earliest programmes which used to also feature members of De-Dannan as musicians at dances etc. Quack!! Geoff the Duck. |
