Subject: Tech: MSN Games with Mozilla Firefox From: Sorcha Date: 08 Feb 05 - 04:40 PM Any ideas why the MSN games using Java/Macromedia Flash won't load and play with Mozilla Firefox? They seem to load, but the game never comes up. |

Subject: RE: Tech: MSN Games with Mozilla Firefox From: Bill D Date: 08 Feb 05 - 06:28 PM unless space is at a premium, there's no reason not to have 3-4 browsers for special use. I have 5, I think. I never tried to UNinstall I.E.--it just sits there in the corner, unloved, waiting for that VERY rare call. |

Subject: RE: Tech: MSN Games with Mozilla Firefox From: Mary in Kentucky Date: 08 Feb 05 - 09:14 PM Sorcha, I found this statement: When selecting the file types you want Quicktime to handle under "Mime Settings", make sure that "Flash File", under miscellaneous, is not enabled. This will cause a conflict with the Macromedia Flash Plug-in and flash files will more than likely cease to play. here. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206210 I've been having some problems myself trying to get all the bells and whistles using Firefox. It seems that Micro$oft makes it difficult to use other things with Windows. Also, that QW@#$%^&P) RealPlayer really messes up other things. My favorite piano midi files had to have Crescendo in order to hear them. I don't know what I'll do about that. I think I found an old version of Crescendo that can still be used. |
