Sometimes a little square pops up at the top of my mudcat page that is like a scoreboard although I've never seen anything but 0's on it. It says Mudchat General or Mudchat Weighty Issues. Is this a diet chat room or what?

Please leave it there. Sometimes when I get doored, I can get into that room, but not the main one. I then just change rooms - otherwise sometimes it tells me that I am already in there, and won't believe that I'm not... weird, but it works...

It is a diet forum but I spent so much time in there alone that I got depressed and ate my way up another ten pounds. There were a few success stories.

Hilda, for a serious answer...the Proprieter thought that people might want a separate room to discuss something other than drivel.

Artbrooks, since I'm usually serious, I thought that a chat room for 'weighty issues' was one in which people seiously discussed heavy duty subjects without intentionally added BS.

Since the word 'chat' implies to me light[weight] social conversation, maybe a 'chat room' isn't the best place for such serous conversations anyway...

I think that one of the benefits of BS posts is to provide opportunities for people who are often focused on serious matters, to forget serious matters for awhile- to relax, be witty, and have fun.

If this is even partly true, it might to some extent explain why it appears from some posts above that people aren't really using the 'weighty issues' chat rooms.

I'm just sayin...But what do I know? I'm just a newbie here..

I have tried picking a time several times Mary but always endded up sitting alone. So I went next door to the General Chat where thongs and chocolate rule.

If there is a renewed interset, let's try it again. Anyone have a preferred time EST?

So the Weighty Issues chat room is REALLY about loosing weight and not about heavy duty subjects like politics, and religion, and HOW TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE??!
