Subject: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: hilda fish Date: 14 Feb 05 - 03:44 AM Sometimes a little square pops up at the top of my mudcat page that is like a scoreboard although I've never seen anything but 0's on it. It says Mudchat General or Mudchat Weighty Issues. Is this a diet chat room or what? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: hilda fish Date: 14 Feb 05 - 03:50 AM My question is - sorry to forget to include it - what is Weighty Issues? I guess that was obvious. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: John MacKenzie Date: 14 Feb 05 - 05:15 AM Yep it was a dietary thing, didn't last long they must all be thin now! Giok |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: Dave Hanson Date: 14 Feb 05 - 06:28 AM I'm not. eric |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 14 Feb 05 - 06:34 AM Please leave it there. Sometimes when I get doored, I can get into that room, but not the main one. I then just change rooms - otherwise sometimes it tells me that I am already in there, and won't believe that I'm not... weird, but it works... |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: SINSULL Date: 14 Feb 05 - 12:24 PM It is a diet forum but I spent so much time in there alone that I got depressed and ate my way up another ten pounds. There were a few success stories. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: Liz the Squeak Date: 14 Feb 05 - 04:47 PM If you want to revive it, you need to make public a regular time and day you'll be there... then you might get some takers. LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: artbrooks Date: 14 Feb 05 - 05:09 PM Hilda, for a serious answer...the Proprieter thought that people might want a separate room to discuss something other than drivel. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: Azizi Date: 15 Feb 05 - 12:05 PM Hi Hilda Fish! Artbrooks, since I'm usually serious, I thought that a chat room for 'weighty issues' was one in which people seiously discussed heavy duty subjects without intentionally added BS. Since the word 'chat' implies to me light[weight] social conversation, maybe a 'chat room' isn't the best place for such serous conversations anyway... I think that one of the benefits of BS posts is to provide opportunities for people who are often focused on serious matters, to forget serious matters for awhile- to relax, be witty, and have fun. If this is even partly true, it might to some extent explain why it appears from some posts above that people aren't really using the 'weighty issues' chat rooms. I'm just sayin...But what do I know? I'm just a newbie here.. Ms. Azizi |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: Amos Date: 15 Feb 05 - 01:34 PM Drivel?!! Art, for shame!! Some of the chatroom sessions I have been in have dealt with Most Ponderous Matters, and no drivel!! Comparative cultural dynamics, linguistic construction in tribes, and many other Serious Topics. Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: mg Date: 15 Feb 05 - 01:54 PM It's for diet plans. I would love to check in. Just pick a time and I'm probably at work but I'll join if I am home. mg |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: SINSULL Date: 15 Feb 05 - 02:50 PM I have tried picking a time several times Mary but always endded up sitting alone. So I went next door to the General Chat where thongs and chocolate rule. If there is a renewed interset, let's try it again. Anyone have a preferred time EST? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Weighty Issues From: Azizi Date: 15 Feb 05 - 02:54 PM So the Weighty Issues chat room is REALLY about loosing weight and not about heavy duty subjects like politics, and religion, and HOW TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE??! Oh well, I'm wrong again. Ms. Azizi |
