I was just gonna PM Clinton, because I know hao much he likes award shows, but thought there may be other 'Cats that might want to be reminded that the ECMA's are on CBC tonight. ECMA = East Coast Music Awards = Atlantic Canada Self-promotion Awards.

This is worth mentioning gnu. The best Canadian musical talent comes out of the East Coast.

I hope you missed it Clinton. Man, that was pathetic. I'm not complaining about the artists. The sound sucked. Only a few artists got their music played. Only a few categories got their music played. There was only a snippet of roots-traditional. Enough... I hope the audience got some of their monies-worth and, if they did, it had to be during the commercials or after the TV show. With apologies to Glen Foster, "I'm writing a god damned letter!!"

The sound did suck gnu, it was very disappointing ... put a damper on some fine musicians that you actually did see perform. I guess there is only so much you can pack inot 2 hours (with 45 mins of it being commercials). Beolach were execptional, and certainly worth seeing !

in regards to the commercials, it just seems tourism Nova Scotia had the monopoly ... should have been more exposure for NB, Nfld and PEI.

The sound for any musical event usually sucks on the CBC. I've learned not to expect much over the years.
