Subject: RE: BS: Communal Living From: open mike Date: 27 Feb 05 - 07:54 PM I live in what might be called an intentional community, Although i am not sure how intentional it is. We have, however been sharing this 50 acres for over 30 years. Of the 8 partners in this partnership, 7 of us just spent the last 3 1/2 hours at our quarterly meeting. I used to work on a publication with my former land partners: Communities Magazine. Together with a "sister" group in Virginia we edited and distributed this periodical. It is still in circulation. For more info see: http://fic.ic.org/cmag/ the Fellowship of Intentioanl Communities publishes the magazine , holds conferences and compiles a list of Communities. http://www.ic.org/ Co-operatives and Collectives exist in many situations. the Co-Housing movement is gaining momentum. to find out more: www.cohousing.org/ or google cohousing or co-housing. There are groups in UK , Canada and elsewhere.. feel free to p.m. me if you have any other questions.. Laurel |
