Does anyone here listen to Ronan Tynan's music?? I just picked up his new CD yesterday and I think it is just beautiful. The man sings like none other -- it is no wonder he is known as the world's most famous Irish tenor! Anyway, I would love to hear what some other people think of his work, and if you don't know him yet, you can hear some samples at www.ronantynan.net if you are interested.

Hi Tenorcharm,

I first heard Ronan sing when he did the 3 Irish Tenors performance a few years back. And man; can he ever sing! I especially loved his version of The Town I Loved So Well--it still gives me shivers. I haven't listened to any of his CD's yet....maybe it's time I did.

Yes, I enjoy the singing of Mr. Tynan! One of the best things to happen to the USA was right after 9-11 at the opening of a NYC baseball game, when Mr. Tynan sang the entire song, "God Bless America" by Berlin--including the recitative like intro part which most Americans had never heard 'till then. Naturally, the crowd went nuts.
I got out my old 78rpm of Der Bingle & had my neices & nephews play it. They were amazed. They all said it gave much more meaning to the song. I was glad they noticed.

Is this the ex-firefighter from NY?
