I got a set of windchimes yesterday. I've got them hanging from a tree limb just a few feet away from where I'm typing this into the computer (beautiful day... 82 degrees F, windows and doors open with a nice breeze wafting in).   It sounds lovely. It's really been pissing off the squirrel who lives in that tree, however. It spent the better part of an hour scolding the wind chimes before it gave up and went off to sulk.

A buddy of mine gave me a CD that includes "The Boys of Summer", "Summer of '69", "Angel of the Morning", and the greatest rock/boogie piece ever recorded, "The Boys are Back in Town" by the Busboys. Even for a blah day, it's pretty cool when ya crank it to ten.

Hey, that's cool. I will bookmark the site.

Lost a gang of files in a system crash here. Addresses and such along with my e-mail files. However, things could be worse. The sun is shining, and our last three calls were easy ones. Still, it's a blah day.

I just received a phone call from my Mom to tell me that a good friend of mine died either late last night or early this morning. He was 42 years old. Blah doesn't even begin to cover it.

:*(

I am beginning to hate the entire fucking universe.

BLAH BLAH BLAH

Michelle

Before I got to your post I had started to sing Old Blevins, and now I can't get it out of my head. So in the spirit of NOT deleting my posts, which I was just talking about on another thread, I'm still gonna put a bit of it on here.

And I'll say "Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
I don't remember blah blah blah blah blah blah
Mistakes were made
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
How 'bout them Cowboys? blah blah blah
Like Old Blevins used to say
Old Blevins

I have a cold and am somewhat under the weather. It's not the flu. It's a cold. I am too low on energy to bother debating with Wolfgang. Blah.

Regarding the squirrel, Carol, I can just imagine how those wind chimes would drive him nuts! Imagine what it sounds like to a squirrel.

Michelle, I am sorry to hear about your friend.

Maybe the squirrel will find another tree to live in. This one has been dropping other people's food scraps and squirrel babies onto my patio (and my patio table). The babies survived the fall and went to live with one of my neighbors, but sometimes the food scraps are just gross. Plus, last year, it kept taking ONE bite out of as many strawberries, tomatoes, and peppers in my garden as it could, and then just leaving the rest of each one to rot. The squirrel is fun to watch, but I won't mind if it decides not to live in that tree any more.

A squirrel is a noisy rat with a bushy tail. However, I agree with your squirrel on the wind chimes. None of my neighbours have them... for long. Must be SWAT squirrels.

Michelle, my husband's cousin died last Tuesday, aged 46, so we understand and sympathise.

My daughter has chickenpox...but she's nearly over it.

Only another 10 days from now and I will be at Miskin festival drinking, singing, playing and having fun with a large crowd of some of my best friends in the whole world....

Love Lynne

Ouch, Michelle!

I'm a bit blah, but also good. Steve's dad has been let go, which sucks. However I only have one tooth left in pain and am going to try to get an allergy treatment for tree pollen so that I'm not sick all Spring... maybe then I'll be capable of working enough to sponsor my husband to Canada. I hope so.

Isn't it something how you're feelin real BLAH while you're waiting for a phone call from one certain person, and when it comes you're whole being lights up?

Michelle,

I also am sorry about your friend's passing.

This does put blah into perspective.

I just had a very close friend lose her battle with cancer in November 2004 and it still seems unreal to me that she's not here...They say it gets better with time..

For me not yet though..

SORRY LILY/MICHELLE...

AND CAROL...have you heard the hilarious song
that christine Lavin does about windchimes?
it is on Rosalie Sorrell's latest: Last Go Round

it is where the incessant tinkling drives her bats..
literally she takes a base ball bat to them...

if i wasn't feeling so blah i would have made this
in to two seperate posts .....
