Trying to find the correct lyrics. Here are two version I have but they are probably incorrect:

Marcelle Vahine

Kinsgston Trio Version:

CHORUS
Marcelle Vahine ai'a Tahiti a wa'a
Ta mata hata Tahiti
No fatigi, fatigi mata ho

O he no a'utu nu'a hu nu
Ai'a a hulu a o'u
He a hu na'a hu nu'a ei'a na
Ha a'a mai a an tat mahu (Chorus & repeat verse)

* * *

ORIGINAL:

Marcelle Vahine E iaha E Riri I au e

To Mata haa piri piri
O fati fati tou mana o

Vahine I poto ite aha nuanua

E Maha hanere pererau

Iaha te mena I nau

Ai te repe e u a tito te moa i mau uai serepe

(2nd ending just has SERE - without the PE)

Hi, Chico - best I could find was on this page (click) - exactly the same words you posted. Here's a note that was on the site I found. It refers to the second set of lyrics you posted:
I don't think this really coincides with what Shane sang on the recording, but I'm pretty sure he learned this song phonetically on the beach, so it's possible that the Trio's Tahitian is about as accurate as their French was on "Raspberries Strawberries."
I listened to the cut, and couldn't understand a word.

The album it was on was titled #16, released March 4, 1963.
