Goodluck with your second, hand operation gargoyle. I hope it fixes your problem. Sorry about the accident with it. I've noticed you have a pretty upbeat attitude about it.

I'm getting pain in a round spot on the top of my hand every now and then. Kinda nervous about it

Hey, Gargoyle,

I don't know what the operation is intended to 'fix', but I hope it's successful and your hand gets back to 100%.

Sincerely,

Bruce Murdoch

I agree with BillD, and also echo the sentiments of the rest. Get well soon.

gargoyle had a nasty accident a few years ago that almost severed his right hand thumb. His hand is back to 60% and he wants 100%. He wants to play like he used to. See "hand surgery question" and "stretching yourself" and keep up, people! (he's a human beign with feelings, you know)

love,harpgirl

Best wishes from me too, Gargoyle.

I have some idea of what you must have been going through. A few years ago I smashed my left wrist. I was lucky to have a marvellous hand surgeon. Now after 3 operations, I still have some tendon damage, and my thumb doesn't bend quite as much as I'd like it to when I go to pick up a tiny object between thumb and fingers, but it's not a big deal. I'd say I'm back to at least 90%, and there are still small signs of improvement as the months go by. I don't think I will have any more operations, as it has got to a point where I mostly forget about it, and it is not preventing me from doing anything important.

In your case, there is obviously more that can be done to help you get back to playing the guitar as you want to, so good on you for wanting 100% and keeping on going with it. My thoughts will be with you.

Jenny

That has got to be a real SOB. I recall when I smashed my teeth and broke my jaw. I worked as a singer/songwriter at the time. The months it took for me to learn to 'speak' again were some of the more frustrating in my life. I was never all that great, but I loved what I was doing, and knowing how I used to be able to sing/locute and how I was actually singing/locuting drove me friggin' nuts. I admire you for hangin' in, Greg. Keep doin' that and I wish a complete recovery for you.

Bruce Murdoch

PS That you have kept on for years attests to the strength of your character. Hang in, man.

Now that I know the nature of your problem and the corrective surgery, Gargoyle, I wish you the very best. I hope that your hand will soon be as strong as your spirit.

Good luck Gargoyle - I know how it is for Kendall, losing his voice, so I hope that you get the 100%.

Congratulations on the Birth of Your New Baby! All my best wishes at this happy and joyous time.

Spaw --- Just returning the favor (;<))

Back in '99 when I about checked out, those of you who were around them remember how it affected this place. I am proud to say I was the first to be on the receiving end of the "Power of Mudcat." I also got a ton of mail from many and among them was a card wishing me well with my new baby from Garg. I always saw Greg a bit differently after that and no matter how bad things occasionally got with Garg later on at times, I always thought of the guy with enough of a sense of humor to send that card.

Does anyone know what condition Greg's condition is in?

Gargoyle, if you read this, please let us know how you're doin', OK?

Bruce
