Subject: RE: BS: George Bush has left the building... From: Amos Date: 13 Apr 05 - 09:17 AM Well, I am not sorry. I think he is a two-faced, underhanded, destructive son of a bitch, power-hungry and anti-social, bent on doing harm for his own benefit. SOmeone has to call people like that on their crap. Him and Tom Delay, now being justly hounded by a vast Democrat conspiracy (barf!). A |

Subject: RE: BS: George Bush has left the building... From: DougR Date: 13 Apr 05 - 01:10 PM Too bad you guys don't read the newspapers. Things are going very well in Iraq, even though there is still some violence, same for Afghanstan and most of the Middle-East. Catch up with the news sometime guys, or the world will leave you behind. DougR |

Subject: RE: BS: George Bush has left the building... From: PoppaGator Date: 13 Apr 05 - 01:13 PM Just how well are things going in Iraq ~ have they finally gotten electricity and running water into the hospitals full of bombing victims? I suppose some would find that something to be proud of... |

Subject: RE: BS: George Bush has left the building... From: DougR Date: 13 Apr 05 - 02:03 PM I'm confident that if they hadn't PoppaGator, CNN, NBC, CBS, and MSNBC would have happily reported it. DougR |

Subject: RE: BS: George Bush has left the building... From: Bobert Date: 13 Apr 05 - 02:19 PM How would CNN, NBC, CBS and MSNBC know, Dougie... All their people are in the Green area... They are not allowed to just wander out to see for themselves... The only news you are getting on any of them stations is what they are being told by the military, who gets its PR orders from Karl Rove??? What you are seeing is pure propaganda.... not news. Check it out fir yourself where they are allowed to go. No where's, that where... Bobert |

Subject: RE: BS: George Bush has left the building... From: John MacKenzie Date: 13 Apr 05 - 02:52 PM Every time they repair an oil pipeline, it gets blown up again, and as the oil's the main reason for the US and its' UK poodle being there, seems like the insurgents win again! Giok |

Subject: RE: BS: George Bush has left the building... From: GUEST,petr Date: 14 Apr 05 - 01:50 PM things are going well in Iraq? the americans still havent realized theyve lost. Theyre under the impression that they will have permanent bases there.. its not sustainable. Only 2% of the iraqi population see them as liberators. Most of them with the exception of the Kurds (for now) want the US out. in anti colonial wars, sooner or later the colonialists lose. The French learned that in Vietnam and Algeria, British in Kenya, the Dutch in Indonesia, the Russians in Afghanistan. When most of the population wants you out, you have already lost. When the body count and cost of the war gets high enough to be felt at home, they will leave. SUre with more advanced weapons, training, you can kill 20insurgents for one American but the insurgents are not going to pack up and go home. They are already home. |

Subject: RE: BS: George Bush has left the building... From: katlaughing Date: 14 Apr 05 - 03:16 PM And now he wants this arsehole to become our UN ambassador. From http://www.pww.org/article/articleview/6808/1/264/>this article (emphasis is mine): WASHINGTON — Carl W. Ford Jr., former chief of the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research, told senators April 12 that John Bolton, President Bush's choice for UN ambassador, is a "serial abuser … an 800-pound gorilla" who "devours" anyone who disagrees with him. In testimony before a Senate Foreign Relations confirmation hearing, Ford said Bolton had demanded that he fire an intelligence analyst for contradicting Bolton's claim that Cuba was developing weapons of mass destruction. A decade ago, Bolton told a conference in New York, "If the UN building in New York lost 10 stories, it wouldn't make a bit of difference." More recently, Bolton said the UN Security Council should be changed to put the U.S. in the driver's seat. Is it any wonder he used to be one of Jesse Helms' right-hand people? kat |

Subject: RE: BS: George Bush has left the building... From: GUEST,petr Date: 14 Apr 05 - 08:33 PM that is the more worrying thing, because despite its shortfalls the UN (which originally was a US idea) has provided a system of laws and dialogue for nations - which was much better than the old system of shifting alliances - and has given us a relatively peaceful 60 years. the idiot Bolton was asked at the confirmation hearings what he would have done in 1994 when the genocide in Rwanda was happening. His answer was, its quite possible we would have done exactly the same thing ... - honestly if you are asked whether you could have prevented a genocide just say you could have.. No ones going to travel back in time to prove otherwise.. |
