Chip2447-I just noticed I used the wrong numbers for your name..I'd blame it on that sequential number jones I got [I typed "3447" instead of "2447"] but then to really fit that pattern you'd have to be "2442" or "2445" or "2427" or "2424" or...well, you get my drift...

Anyway, I'm to blame for my carelessness. I'm sorry about that.
[I would say "My bad" which means "I did wrong {bad}, please forgive me." but you might not know what the heck "My bad" means.
And for the record, let me say that I consider "My bad" and other colloquial expression to be inappropriate for use in formal settings. But this isn't a formal setting, right?]

Not that this has anything to do with the price of beans, unless beans cost $1.99 or some other number ending in 99 cents....

It just occurs to me that the fact that most items for sale cost something ending with 99 cents must mean something...What I don't know. Maybe if I read that link I provided, I'd find out.

'Catters and Guests from outside the Untied States: are items routinely priced at a dollar amount plus 99 cents in your country as they seem to be in the United States?

I like it when you get patterns on the clocks like 17:17 or 11:11.

Interesting 2nd & 3rd posts!

I love the info found in the link that Guest 17 Apr 05 - 03:16 AM provides. And Guest Chip2447 mentions feeling lost without her
[or his] ocarina, Simone. I'd consider that a lucky charm.
But, Chip3447, umm, what's an ocarina?

It should be noted that it was 6:55AM when I began typing this post, and that is one of the number patterns that I'm attracted to.

See this quote from the Association Internationale de Numerologues AIN,an UK website on numerology:

'Numerology is the philosophy of numbers. It explores the nature, the qualities, and therefore the inner meaning, of these wonderfully logical, harmonious little crystallisations of purpose in the mind of God. They are the transparent bricks (transparent because they are concepts) of the manifestation of the mystery of life.

When we learn to meet them and to know them, we can start to see patterns and cycles, and make sense of where we have been, where we are, and might yet be. Therefore, we understand the 'impulse', the 'heartbeat' of our own life. From understanding comes wholeness, peace of mind and compassion. Numerology offers the possibility to remove ourselves from the sea of illusion and to walk the clear path up the mountain of self realisation.

Each number is an expression of the quality of the life we lead. The understanding of their relationship and procession in our chart can provide great help in explaining the difficulties of past or present circumstances and therefore ease them greatly by helping us to take steps of least resistance.' My tiniest ocarina, Simone. goes everywhere I go, carried in a pocket. I feel lost without here in there, does that count?

I just noticed that today is the 17th.

Actually it's 4/17/05 which in numerology adds up to an 8 [4+1+7+0+5=17 and 1+7=8].

Since my lucky number is 17 {or 8 ; or to a lesser extent any numbers that add up to 8}, I'm SURE this is going to be a lucky day for me.

Why is my lucky number an 8? Beats the heck out of me. I just always liked that number. Somehow it just resonates for me..

Here's a true story: During my first week in my newly adopted city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I decided to take a walk around my new neighborhood to ease my loneliness. I was hoping to meet someone who would talk to me even it if was to say nothing more than "Nice day, isn't it?". But no one spoke to me at all-that is not until I neared the house I was staying in. Out of the blue this little girl stopped jumping rope, looked at me and said "Hello, soul sister number 8!". I walked up to the girl and the rest of the group of children she was playing with, greeted them, and asked the girl why she had said that. But she 'didn't say a mumblin word'. However, the rest of the children talked to me about their city and the games they were playing, and asked me about the African clothes I was wearing. They probably had no idea how much they lifted my spirits by their conversation.

Since that time, I have been even more alert to numbers. For instance, I like it when I look at the clock and the numbers are sequential-like 1:23 and 11:12. For some reason it gives me pleasure when numbers form patterns like 2:27 or 545 {my home address}..
Is this good luck? Maybe..Okay, I'd probably not go that far..but it is fun.

And maybe luck is where what you make it to be. Another example, since I am a twin, I've told myself that when ever I see twins that is good luck. Last Friday during my daily walk, I saw 4 sets of twins, soooo good luck is coming my way-4 fold!

I'm curious. What traditional or non-traditional lucky charms or ideas about luck do you have?
