BS: World Record for Yorkshire

I read today that Yorkshire has gained a new world-record holder. The Guinness Book of Records has recorded that the loudest hand-clap in the world belongs to a 7-yr old girl from Harrogate in North Yorkshire. She hit 73 decibels, which is the same noise level as a moving HGV! Sounds incredible, but it must be true as I read it in the papers - and I'm from Yorkshire so I'll believe it..... I do however wonder how many people have competed for this record?

its very good and creditable that shes got a clap of such distinction - but surely too much, too young. count the days to the first suicide attempt.

She needs to build on a talent like that - perhaps mix it with a really loud fart. if she could clap and fart a couple of Whitney Houston numbers, I know an agent who goes mad for acts like that. She'd be a sensation all over yorkshire - not just in Harrogate - The Labour Clubs of Sheffield, maybe even the Liberal Clubs - there'd be no stopping a yorkshire lass with talent like that.

Labour clubs of Sheffield? Huh!!

Mostly destroyed by Thatcher in the 80's.

What's left is New Labour clubs - which is really Tory CLubs with even worse beer.

Do not hold out any hopes for Labour Clubs!!
