BBC2 have got a lovely new ident! It's probably only for today, but it's a Morris team of "2"s, with little hankies and everything and one playing the accordian! Keep an eye out for it if you're in the UK!!!

It's a concertina - thanks for the post, though, I really like it.

I hope it's not just for today.

It was on again tonight.

BTW blame me - I wasn't thinking when I told FC it was an accordian - I DO know the difference thank you!

There were morris dancers on channel 4 last night too.... in 'Hollyoaks'. Their name was on their drum but only on screen for a split second (Ley something....) and I didn't see them credited in the titles (but that could be because Limpit stood in front of the TV at that point).

They may have accepted a fee rather than be credited. TV channels tend not to do both. Haven't seen the BBC 2 ones yet.

It would be nice if BBC1 used dancers from each of Wales, Ireland, England and Scotland for the links sometimes.

I saw the Morris Dancing 2s as well. (Rare thing this - mandoleer watching a television! Must point out before licensing people see this that it was not at my home, but down in the Forest of Dean 150 miles away.) I thought they were rather good. Never got to see the end of the snooker, though. Who won?

Who cares?

Trouble with the Morris on the telly is that it usually has fun poked at it. Still, y'never know!

Liz, the Hollyoaks dancers weren't credited and mandoleer, Shaun Murpy won the snooker, 18-16.

.... and the same night London Pride were on with Paul o' Grady!

Those dancing 2's were really innovative, though. And the moves - hey, back to back and rounds - were spot on. Someone was doing consultancy there.....

Perhaps if we all wrote to the BBC complimenting them on their taste they would show the 2's more often : Whit week, Boxing Day, Plough Monday, St. George's Day etc.
