Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Time to kill, as sung by Tommy Steele From: GUEST, Topsy Date: 21 May 05 - 05:00 AM I don't know the words to the song but I find the idea of singing about 'time to kill' to an elderly audience utterly depressing. However much or little time you have, use it, even if only to look at or think about something interesting or beautiful - don't KILL it. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Time to kill, as sung by Tommy Steele From: GUEST Date: 21 May 05 - 04:00 PM I remember 'I've got a Handful of Songs' and Six-Five Special, but sadly not 'Time to Kill' - sounds more like a murder mustery than a song. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Time to kill, as sung by Tommy Steele From: GUEST Date: 27 May 05 - 12:00 PM don't write em like that any more. I remember going to see The Duke Wore Jeans at the Odeon on Saturday morning, and there was his face on the cover of Valentine at the time. I also love that story about Tommy in George Melly's auto biography. Apparently Tommy's manager was his Dad, and anyway George met him backstage at some TV show and enquired if Tommy would like a pint. My Dad sez Pints is common.... I'll have a half.
