Subject: RE: BS: Warm and fuzzy memories From: *daylia* Date: 18 Jun 05 - 05:59 PM Hmmm .... believe it or not, the memory of that cop who pulled me over for doing 77.7 in a 50 just a few days ago does it for me! See, I was alone in the car except for a couple gifts I'd just bought wedged securely (I thought) on the floor beside me - 2 Siamese fighting fish swimming in 2 big vases with 2 lovely lilies blooming out the top of them. As I pulled around to pass a transport truck, one of the vases tipped over. Now I had a small slimy lake growing on the floor of the car - the fish flopping frantically about, the lily languishing, the truck roaring, the traffic thickening, the lanes narrowing .... and as I was leaning over the stick shift trying to grab the vase and save what was left of the water, stay in my lane and - deal with it all somehow - suddenly a cop appeared in front of me, waving me over, gun pointed straight at me. (radar gun that is) I was in quite the, uh, *state* by then believe me - and he, well, he was just an Angel! He emptied his water bottle into the vase, saved the fishie AND the lily, and let me off with a warning instead of the whopping ticket my rather, uh, erratic driving at that moment could have definitely earned me! I decided to keep the fishie, and I've named it "Mike". After him. And just looking at him still makes me feel all warm and uh... slimey? Inside. :-) |

Subject: RE: BS: Warm and fuzzy memories From: Liz the Squeak Date: 19 Jun 05 - 03:05 AM Warm and fuzzies.... I have a small stone elephant on my work desk, given to me by a very good friend after we'd shared some amazing times together.... she was a really good friend during a time when I needed one to just sit and listen, and she had to leave the area due to her work. She's got a shite memory and gave me the elephant because I would remember the tiniest little detail of our days out when she'd forgotten where we went! Still get a warm and fuzzy when I look at it. My other warm and fuzzy was asleep on my lap for most of Friday morning.... kittens are SOOOOOOOOOOOO cute. LTS |

Subject: RE: BS: Warm and fuzzy memories From: frogprince Date: 20 Jun 05 - 09:25 PM Sat by Cabin Creek, near Clarksville, Ark., on a warm, pitch dark night. Fireflies so thick it was like 4th of July sparklers all around; never saw anywhere near so many. A few years later I fitted the image into one of the neatest dreams I ever had. |
