Yep, the P-Vine and I are packin' up the underwear, socks and what's left from last night's 12 pack... Yup, we have spent out last night here in this Wes Ginny holler and from here out we'll be stayin' down (up) in Pine Grove holler up (down) outside Luray, Va. Yup, even the Wes Ginny Slide Rule is ready fir a change of scenery... Next time you all hear from either of us will be after I spend the usual 2 hours on Teck Support to get this pudder up and runnin' on Virginia air... Gotta go load the trailer yet again... Bobert |

From: Stilly River Sage Date: 17 Jun 05 - 09:22 AM Moving is one of those times when you can indentify everything that SHOULD go into a garage sale but you don't have time for that now, so it gets chucked in the boxes with everything else and lost from sight for another six months or a year. Or years, like Rapaire hints. Don't kill yourselves or whack out your backs, and have a good sleep in a comfortable spot when you get there and tomorrow will look just fine. Watch out for the caffienne or you'll be so wired tonight you'll be bouncing off of the walls from the stress of it all. Good luck (and let us know when you get around to doing that garage sale!) And, hey, all these keys got letters an nummers on 'um which makes fir some easier typin' since the one back in Wes Ginny is all wored out... So we is all happy livin' in this new-to-us holler... And I mean to tell ya, we is in the sticks... Can't see no one and none can see us.... Sho nuff isolated and I love it... The house is stone so I can jus' take me a gitfiddle right out on the patio affer the P-Vine goes to bed and she don't hear a thing... Do black bears like Delta blues? Nevermind that last question... Sniff.... Hey, yeah, the double decker bus/cottege is still back in Wes Ginny but the real estate lady knows that if someonme wants to buy the house and land without the bus that I'll bring it up here into Pine Grove holler in a heartbeat.... So lets not write no obits fir the bus yet..... Other than that one detail, we're doin' as wellas could be expected with livin' i what is soon to become a construction site... We've moved all but a handfull of plants (mostly big 'uns that have pink surveyor's tape on 'um to le4t perspective buyers know they don't6 convey...) Will you be building a patio or hot tub platform or green house, or are you just doing house remodeling? We want to see the house and the grounds. How are the evenings there? Do they cool off nicely, or do they stay warm and humid? Show us the quality of life indoors and outdoors, please. I'm going to be trying out a new formula for a mosquito repellant, that involves vanilla. Makes life easier if you can go outside in the evening, and I expect you have mosquitoes and flies there like everyone else in the nation except maybe the desert southwest. I hope you are far enough up there to have escaped from one of our pests down here, the fire ant. Suckers are hot this year. This afternoon I stepped in a bed when I was filling the birdbath. Buggers nearly bit me on my poison ivy rash. It has been one of those weeks. . . SRS |
