Very shocked and saddened to have signed on and read this news. What a wonderful person and what a loss to the planet.

A sad day! Frank is one of the great spirits keeping alive the tradition, he will be missed by many who knew him and many who did not but knew his music.

Funeral is to Mt. Jerome crematorium, as far as I can gather. Last time I was there was for Liam Weldon´s funeral. Two great singers.

Brian O'Donavan is doing a memorial show right now on WGBH. Harte's friend, Robbie O'Connell is in the studio, too.

Sorry, just found they are just ending the show.

Creator works his magic in marvelous ways. By sheer coincidence, I'll be arriving in Dublin Wednesday morning. Will try to re-arrange other committments and make it to the funeral. I will forever remember Frank Harte for his rendition of "Dunlavin Green". I had not heard of that event until I heard Frank sing that on his "First Year of Liberty" CD.
I was stunned at the depravity of the incident, and moved to tears by his compelling rendition.
