Subject: Eeh By Gum Broon Coo From: Fiona Date: 08 Jul 05 - 04:01 PM Does anyone know the proper title and the rest of the lyrics for this song as I can't find it in the DT. The lyrics I do know are, 'Jonathan Pratt were a gravely chap and he liked his pint of ale. That's why his nose was always red and his cheeks was always pale, And if tha stops him on the street to ask the time of day, In drunken tones as he raised his hat, this is what he'd say: Eeh by gum broon coo, eeh by gum broon coo, Cos me hands are like stone, me feet are like lead, Ah hanna bin warm sin Ah left me bed, Ah skips right up t'fire, as near as Ah'm allowed. An Ah might git gradley warm at last, Eeh by gum broon coo.' I know there's another verse (at least about a parson stopping him but we can't remember them. Many thanks, Fiona |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Ee By Gum (from Fivepenny Piece) From: GUEST,Pythagoras Date: 13 Mar 17 - 09:31 AM I can see now the chord spacing has shrunk compared to the words because the font has changed after pasting. But you can easily adjust that by copy/paste into a WORD doc and a odd shuffle to t' right will se' thee reet. |
