It's kind of like an updated version of those drawings that used to be printed in children's books-- can you find the lampshade and the magnifying glass and what-not in the picture? or "where's Waldo?" I used to be real good at them when I was a kid.

The "bars" are the symbols of reception quality on the screen of a cell-phone. |||| ... Cingular is promoting the notion that they give you better reception, more widely, than their competition. I haven't found this to be true, myself, but that was several years back and the network is changing daily.

ANyway, the commercial is to the music Sweet Melissa and it has a number of frames of a man hurrying off to work and then getting a phone call that his wife is ready to deliver at the hospital. The fascinating part is that each frame in the commercial has one or more images of representing the increasing bars left to right of a cell phone I have seen about 14 different images so far   My wife thinks I am obsessed with the commercial

Sorry, I've been out working long hours. I'm sorry, I ASS U ME d everyone watched TV and had heard this commercial. My husband thinks I'm nuts (..and he is probably right) because everytime the commercial is aired I hollor loudly ...

Oh Eric.. I'm just playing when I bellow out that line.

Actually I haven't been drinking much at all. It is either because I'm getting old, or I'm just working too hard. It used to be that the thought of a Pina Coloda or one of Jeri's Margaritas would have me riddled with anticipation.

These days, though, maybe a glass of wine, or a Guiness is all I hanker for.

"More bars in more places!!" is just a reaction to an old time religion.
