Subject: BS: Who Wants To Marry a Founding Father?US From: Dave'sWife Date: 30 Jul 05 - 03:55 PM Check this out: It's a fun, historical 'Reality' Game Who Wants To Marry a (USA) Founding Father (or Mother)?? I keep winding up with Scoundrels or guys who die young in duels. I think I'll keep my Dave. (who is NOT DaveTnova, btw) |

Subject: RE: BS: Who Wants To Marry a Founding Father?US From: Peace Date: 30 Jul 05 - 04:34 PM OK. I played the stoopid game. It told me the following: "Congratulations! You're the new Mrs. John Rutledge of South Carolina!" |

Subject: RE: BS: Who Wants To Marry a Founding Father?US From: JennyO Date: 31 Jul 05 - 06:36 AM I got this one - "Congratulations! You're the new Mrs. George Clymer of Pennsylvania! Hope you like the looks of your new husband." Of course, being in Oz, and not all that knowledgable on American politics, I don't know who a lot of these people are, but I read about George Clymer, and I reckon I could have done worse. He sounds better than some. Jenny |

Subject: RE: BS: Who Wants To Marry a Founding Father?US From: Dave'sWife Date: 02 Aug 05 - 06:17 PM Hey JennyO.. I was born in The United States and some of these old Geezers are new names to me as well. Especially the drunkard I wound up with. In case anybody missed the point of the game, it was to inform folks in an amusing way about these folks we never heard of. it's a cute game and a darn site more interesting than half the lame reality shows it's patterned after. I just posted it as a lark - a time waster.. with some history lessons built in. |

Subject: RE: BS: Who Wants To Marry a Founding Father?US From: Ebbie Date: 02 Aug 05 - 07:13 PM freda, you must have married Hugh Williamson after I died. I got there first. nyah nyah nyah I first thought about marrying Ben Franklin but I really wanted a Southerner, so I ended up with Hugh. At least, he was a friend of Ben's. (We were very happy.) |
