As a sometimes marathon runner, I was very pleased to see Paula win the World Athletic Championship marathon. What guts! As somebody once said, " If you want to win something run the 100m, but if you want to experience something run the marathon!".
p.s. The "saves the day" comment refers to the UKs very poor overall showing at the games.

Best wishes to Paula.....she did it....I almost entered the marathon but had an operation before I could compete...never been the same since....no chance of winning...good luck to her.
