I was thinking the other night, dangerous practice I know, at about 4a.m.         If Necessity is the Mother of Invention, does anyone know who the father was, or is Invention, of Necessity, a Bastard? Any ideas anyone?

The Father of Invention is Imagination. However it is more common for Imagination to get shafted by Necessity than the other way 'round, oddly enough.

Interesting ideas, so , as I see it , Invention is by Imagination out of Necessity, and probably running in the three-thirty at Haydock Park [possibly ridden by one of Frank Zappa's progeny] - must get down to Coral's and put a couple of quid on each way! By the way, can anyone tell me what 'Parthenogenesis' is - does it have anything to do with Greek temples?
