Form Letter - Getaway

Some of you who mentioned that you might attend the Getaway have received a form letter from me. Answer via PM or here. Just trying to get a handle on how many are attending and what workshops people would like to see.

My own request - a workshop on Morris Dancing.I have never seen it performed and know that a few attending the Getaway are Morris Dancers.

But you'd spend good money to go and watch men in "shorts", shoulder pads and crash helmets run up and down a field chasing a pig's bladder filled with air. Or men throwing balls at another man who tries to hit it with a stick.

Manitas, the men with the shoulder pads wear Spandex(tm) and are quite worth watching, especially when they do that 'huddle' thing. If Morris dancers wore Spandex, it might be worth... oops - what the hell am I saying? Beer bellies, beards, and tight, tight trousers. Might be a song in there, but if it ever truly happened, I'd wait for the news report, preferably on radio.

In any case, I believe Manitas was suggesting a workshop on songs about sports. Are you and Squeaky coming? (I hope - I'd love to meet you both!)

HMMMM Amos and Mick in Spandex dancing with sticks - that's a thought.
