I started coming to this little cat box in the spring of 2002. It was only a few months after my wife, Patricia, had passed away. The three years since have been strange and wonderful.

    I found Mudcat while I was looking for something else (I can't, for the life of me, remember what, at the moment). Here I found a diverse group of creative, intelligent, surprising (I didn't realize that there were people out there who were crazier than me), interesting, and helpful people. Finding this little oasis was very much a part of what helped me to get through that difficult time.

    The last three years have been strange and wonderful. I have made a number of new friends (here and elsewhere). I have found a couple of occasional songwriting partners (Sandy Andina and alanabit). My music career has thrived as never before and is about to kick into overdrive. I've produced three CD's (my first solo for Pachanga Records, and an anthology and the Andina and Rich CD for Travenia Records). I've been antholgized on the Mudcat CD alongside many folkies of note, and for a local radio station featuring "new" artists (the whole rest of it is Rock. I'm the only folkie on it). I've had a song which I co-wote recorded in Germany (by alanabit).

    The biggest and best news, however, is that in October I'm getting married again. Life actually does go on. Rather than type out all the details again (I've written all the details on my website blog) or risk screwing up a cut and paste (with some improvement I could become really rotten at that) I'll just make a nice, little blue clicky .
