Halstead "Hoss" Manucy was a segregationist and leader of the Ancient City Hunting Club in St. Augustine, Florida. Manucy was of Minorcan background and a Roman Catholic, so was not eligible to join the Ku Klux Klan, but he certainly sympathized with the Klan, and during Dr. Martin Luther King's campaign to desegregate St. Augustine in 1963-1964, Manucy 's hunting club functioned as a paramilitary vigilante group against integration, working in tandem with the sheriff and the chief of police. Manucy's partisans would often beat demonstrators and at least one hunting club member was shot to death in a car driving through the Black neighborhood of Lincolnville. The dead youth was holding a shotgun in the car. Manucy in an interview in 1976 admitted that the civil rights movement had "helped Blacks" but thought the government should have done something to help whites too. In the 1980's, he became more conciliatory toward his former adversaries in St. Augustine's Black community, although he never apologized for his actions nor those of his club. He died in 1995.

Google the title "I Love Everybody in My Heart". I think it was a hymn that was used during the civil rights era in the US. One of those things where ya added a verse on the spot. Singout Magazine also has a version: "I Love Everybody in My Heart .......... v.15#3 ... p.12"

I'm looking for the verses to the song "I Love Everybody," which I think may come from the civil rights movement. I heard it from Ysaye Barnwell of Sweet Honey in the Rock.   

First verse is just:

I love everybody
I love everybody
I love everybody in my heart

repeated twice. But there were other verses. Can you help me find them?
