Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Irish meet) From: John MacKenzie Date: 05 Dec 05 - 04:45 AM Just 6 to be going on with thanks, yum yum Scotch Mutton Pies from Johnston's of Thurso Funny blog about Thurso, which is on the north coast of Scotland, with John O' Groats on one side, and Dounreay Nuclear Power station on the other. A place of few trees and wet winters, but with its own stark beauty, and judging by the blog, little to offer the local youth. Giok |
Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Irish meet) From: Peter K (Fionn) Date: 05 Dec 05 - 03:51 PM Skarpi, only in the sense that no-one rated Robbie's chances of a solo career when the band split. |
Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Irish meet) From: Effsee Date: 05 Dec 05 - 09:54 PM Giok, half a doz it is then, will any make it to NI? The Blog chappie is obviously in a love/hate relationship with his home town. Dounreay was a Nuclear Research Establishment BTW, now sadly being decommisssioned, just when we're realising that Nuclear is the way to go! |

Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Irish meet) From: Skipjack K8 Date: 13 Dec 05 - 07:23 PM Well, I never. Just when I was rolling out my plans to attend, Mrs S went and got herself a life, and booked a weekend away. Sadly, I'm not on the guestlist, and have to stay home and look after Skipjack Towers and provide commestibles and taxi services for teenage people. It's a bit of a bugger, but I cannae come this year. I'll make sure I bushwack the Eurogather weekend in the household diary. Sorry, mates. |

Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Irish meet) From: MudGuard Date: 14 Dec 05 - 03:22 PM Greg, can't you chain Mrs. S. into some dark dungeon in Skipjack towers (e.g. the one accessible from the toilet next to the kitchen ;-) ? And put all the teenage people in the same dungeon to keep her company ... |
Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Irish meet) From: John MacKenzie Date: 14 Dec 05 - 06:15 PM Chaining her up isn't punishment Andy, but putting the kids in there with her; THAT'S punishment. Giok [Handcuffs can be fun!!] |
Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Irish meet) From: mooman Date: 15 Dec 05 - 10:13 AM Hi Greg, Could you not cause The Good Mrs S to have her weekend away in Portaferry? There she could walk for hours in the fresh country air with The Good Lady McM and they could have interesting in-depth chats and analyses about the inutility of husbands and the latters' collections of musical instrument in general. All good wishes for the forthcoming Season of Inebriation! Richard |
Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Irish meet) From: Letty Date: 16 Dec 05 - 07:38 AM I'm very sorry people, but I cannot make it either. My father is coming over that very weekend, but has to get the early morning flight home on the Sunday. As I have to work on the Friday, it'd mean a 6/7-hour drive up on the Saturday, one evening's entertainment and then back again in the middle of the night = really not enough time to enjoy Portaferry and your lovely company. Plus I'm having difficulties placing my dog that weekend... Bummer. Letty |
Subject: RE: Loughstock 4-score (N. Irish meet) From: GUEST,catsPHiddle@work Date: 16 Dec 05 - 10:00 AM Giok You are more than welcome to share a taxi with Micca and I back to the airport on the Monday. |
