Subject: BS: A slap in the Face From: Donuel Date: 01 Nov 05 - 04:44 PM Republican Bill Frist said that the Democrats slapped him in the face by pulling a procedural stunt. Sen. Reed requested a closed session to discuss an investigation of false intel for the IRaq war that has been stalled for 1 year. IT seems that now that there is a crack in the dam regarding the Libby indictment, the Democrats have grown some backbone. A little late. About 2000 too late. |

Subject: RE: BS: A slap in the Face From: Donuel Date: 01 Nov 05 - 06:21 PM Poor Bill Frist, the best he could do was to call the Dmes some unsavory names and have some of his buddies say the closed session was retaliation by Dems to sabotage Republican spending cuts. I bet Bill Frist is getting sloshed on whine and putting a big steak on his black eye tonight. All in all announcing a reactionary judge for the Supreme Court should make up for investigating the special office of intelligence under Cheney and Rumsfeld. Afterall the investigation will be under Repub control. Another positive note for Repubs... At least Tom Delay was able to get the judge for his trial thrown off the case. It turns out the judge for his money laundering felony charge was a Democrat. I understand having a jury of one's peers. Demanding a judge of your own political party might be legal but best of all it is a very positive precedent for criminals who need to avoid judges known to uphold the law. There should now be hope for drug lords to be tried by judges who have a prediliction for drug cartels. |

Subject: RE: BS: A slap in the Face From: GUEST,Chief Chaos Date: 03 Nov 05 - 03:24 PM Yeah, I can see it now. The republicans will suddenly allow cloning and advanced growth techniques to allow Delay to have a judge and jury solely of his peers. |
