I knew a woman where I worked who always ran everywhere. I asked her why she was always running and she said that she had to run in order to get to where she was going before she forgot why she was going there. It was true, too..

My dear sweet lady wife"misplaced" her cell phone.I wasn't aware of this at the time,me being in the kitchen with the door closed,cooking.She asked our son Vladimir,to ring her phone.That's when the fridge started ringing....

It's all downhill for me at this point. Years ago--about ten years--I was in the garage having a smoke. I put the cigarette in the ashtray because I had to go to the house which was about forty feet away. By the time I got there I'd forgot what I went for. Did that two times because I had to go back to the garage and collect the thought of where I was going and why. On the fourth attempt I repeated to myself--take a pee, take a pee, take a pee. Did that all the way to the bathroom and voila, took a pee. Fortunately, the lid was up.

Back when I was older, I thought 70 was ancient. Now that I am younger and wiser, I realize that 70 is the portal to Middle Age.

My father asserted in his mid 70's that "not only am I a septuagenarian -- I am ALSO a very old man!".

But, alas, he did not live long enough to make the joke over again when he became an octogenarian. :>(

Just as well; he needed a younger body to boogy along in.
