Subject: BS: Stroll on Strollin' From: Sooz Date: 24 Dec 05 - 07:49 AM What a way to spend Christmas - Strollin' Johnny is in hospital for the festive season after collapsing at work on Wednesday. The diagnosis is pancreatitis and the treatment includes not being allowed anything to eat or drink. I know he said "Bah Humbug - the true path" but this is really going too far. Fingers crossed that the stay in hospital won't have to be a long one. |

Being a bit thick, probably...Does Strollin' have laptop with internet connection in hospital or is there someone who knows the mystery location of the chocolate-voiced-One, going to print off these wishes for him? Oh...and give him a copy? Maybe we should start a 'dire' ditty collection for him? Eg. Sorry that you're feeling rough At Christmas time it's extra tough We hope you're feeling better soon Cos we just love to hear you croon Whether sad lament or happy tune All fall silent, in the room We heard you sing with JK too, oh! Flipping great...a brilliant du-o (groan!) I hope you get better soon, Strolling to prevent more of this awful verse being inflicted upon the mudcat community...at least I kept mine polite... |

Subject: RE: BS: Stroll on Strollin' From: Strollin' Johnny Date: 04 Jan 06 - 04:51 AM Well Hi there y'all!. Came home yesterday (3rd Jan), 16 lbs lighter, still very weak and feeling as though Hell's Morris have given me a good going over with their sticks, but it's good to be out of there and back in the arms of the wonderful Mrs. Johhny. Still no indication of what brought it on, more scans in a few weeks, till then a very light diet (that's no bad thing!) and no beer (F**K!). I don't remember much about the first three days (Morphine! Woooo-Hoo! Didn't stop the pain, but made me sleep for England and dream amazing dreams) except being certain that I was booked to open the show at the Great Folk-Club In The Sky. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who posted on here with their good thoughts for me - it's really heartwarming to know there are so many out there who care. And my thanks and admiration to the team on Shuttleworth Ward at Lincoln County Hospital - Angels, every one. Going for a nap now. S:0) |
