Subject: BS: hal lindsey walks out of (tbn) From: tarheel Date: 03 Jan 06 - 10:37 AM January 3 - Hal Lindsey Walks Out on TBN Hal Lindsey has wisely thrown in the towel at the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). He states in an article on my "Current Headlines" at www.olivetreeviews.org that he was going to be muzzled and not allowed to tell the truth about radical Islam. Thus after a twelve-year relationship with TBN, he was not able to get some elements of truth to the network leadership. TBN again stated that it does not want to "offend the Muslim world as TBN has an outreach to Arabs." However, the Muslim world needs Lindsey and others with a national and international platform to be "in the face" to remind them that now all of Islam has a black eye because of the antics of the insane radicals. Lindsey never offended Muslims intentionally. He carefully drew a distinction between the radicals and non-radicals, although the non radicals remain pathetically silent about their brothers. The bottom line is that Lindsey is a "watchman on the wall" trying to spare America and other parts of the West another 9/11. So was TBN dishonest in saying Lindsey would be back on air in January? We may never know as it is Hal who quit because he was going to be muzzled. One of the few intelligent truth-tellers would be censored as to the most ominous issue of our day, the threat that Islam wants to take over the world via any means necessary. Lindsey says, "I don't have to cast radical Islam in a bad light. If the intimidation and persecution of moderate Muslims makes radical Islam look bad, that is because it IS bad. It is not that I cast them in a bad light. But I have never cast the Arabs as a race in a bad light. I believe that as a watchman I must warn America and I must obey." A TBN spokesman says the extremists have "hijacked the religion." It's time TBN did a reality check. A spokesman says, "We do not feel that the best witness is to bash them but rather to show them the nature of Christ through love and understanding." While it is always a good thing to show "the enemy" love, when elements of them are trying to take over the world, you have to talk frankly and bluntly to them and warn the world of their intentions. Few can do this as well as Hal Lindsey who has studied such issues for almost fifty years. Lindsey is taking his program to other outlets, none named at this time, and video streaming on his Web site, www.hallindseyoracle.com sometime in February. |

Subject: RE: BS: hal lindsey walks out of (TBN) From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 03 Jan 06 - 03:37 PM That read rather like a cut and paste job. If so tarheel should have identified it as such. If it was actually tarheel's own post, apologies. |

Subject: RE: BS: hal lindsey walks out of (TBN) From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 03 Jan 06 - 06:05 PM Since you agree about it being best to indicate when a post is a cut- and-paste - "i was in a hurry this morning and made the mistake of posting it with out reference..." - I can't see why you seem annoyed at my post, tarheel. Not to worry. Happy New Year. Love your enemies. |

Subject: RE: BS: hal lindsey walks out of (TBN) From: M.Ted Date: 04 Jan 06 - 02:03 PM Tarheel, McGrath wanted a bit more info, that's all. Not everyone here on the "Late Great, Planet Earth", knows who Hal Lindsey is, or what TBN is, for that matter. If you'd paid more attention in that one room school house in the valley that you make such a fuss about, you'd have learned how to express yourself clearly and concisely, and you wouldn't have to cut, paste, and then fume when people misunderstand you. The banjo isn't everything- PTL, everyone!! |

Subject: RE: BS: hal lindsey walks out of (TBN) From: M.Ted Date: 05 Jan 06 - 09:30 AM I'll say it straight out--even banjo players need to learn to read and write. Deal with it. |
