Subject: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Nigel Paterson Date: 24 Jan 06 - 09:25 AM For once, a post that has no "Halliard" connection! I would like to get in touch with/hear from, anyone who was cast as an Elf in this 1985 movie (the one starring the late Dudley Moore as "Patch"). All will be revealed as & when there are any seemingly genuine replies. If you weren't in it, but know someone who was, that could also be useful, Happy Days, Nigel Paterson. |

Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Nigel Paterson Date: 25 Jan 06 - 04:27 AM Apologies Clinton, I've not posted a "non-musical" thread before. I wonder if Joe would move this to the right area? Thanks in antis, Nigel P. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Nigel Paterson Date: 01 Feb 06 - 05:50 AM Not having any luck with this post...isn't there ONE surviving Elf out there? This is most worrying, because us Elves are supposed to be immortal...there were more than 200 of us in the movie! Nigel P. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Morticia Date: 01 Feb 06 - 07:04 AM have you tried one of those friends revisited type sites? More likely than a folk music forum, perhaps? |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Nigel Paterson Date: 01 Feb 06 - 05:20 PM Good thought, Morticia. I am a member of the most well known "revisited" site....nothing to lose, I'll give it a whirl! Happy Days, Nigel P. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Nigel Paterson Date: 07 Feb 06 - 04:45 AM I'm going to apply for "listed Elf" status on the grounds that I'm an endangered species! (thinly disguised refresh, looks to Joe for forgiveness!) Nigel P. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Alba Date: 07 Feb 06 - 06:47 AM Wish I could help Nigel:), you seem to be such a pleasant Elf and I do hope that the lack of response to your request does not indicate that you are an endangered species..:) Good Luck with your mission. Jude |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Nigel Paterson Date: 08 Feb 06 - 05:30 PM Thanks Jude. My "Elfquest" is all over a long-lost letter. After we had finished shooting our scenes, we all received a nice "thankyou" letter from the production company. Mine went walkies years ago & I've been trying to track down a copy ever since. Since retiring in 2003, I've been plugging the gaps in my career archive, this letter being one of them. No, I don't think I'm an endangered species yet, but I'm not getting any younger either!! Happy Days, Nigel Paterson. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Morticia Date: 09 Feb 06 - 04:30 AM 'course, you could also try the National Elf Service.........sorry....surprised the punsters on this board left me that one. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Nigel Paterson Date: 09 Feb 06 - 06:43 PM No need to apologise...I'm surprised too, it's taken two weeks for the "National Elf" pun to appear! Thanks for posting it so nicely. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: GUEST,nigel paterson Date: 22 Feb 06 - 12:00 PM Final refresh....going to have to give up my quest. I'm clearly the last surviving Elf from "Santa Claus, the Movie"! Nigel P. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Morticia Date: 22 Feb 06 - 12:08 PM Have you tried The Stage? Many of the cast may still be in acting. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Tweed Date: 22 Feb 06 - 01:01 PM Yaz, acting or hard at work getting ready for next season! Those stockings don't get filled up by themselves you know. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: GUEST,nigel paterson Date: 23 Feb 06 - 05:59 AM Had completely forgotten about "The Stage", could be worth placing a small-ad, Thanks Morticia, Nigel P. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: Morticia Date: 23 Feb 06 - 06:01 AM No problem, Nigel, hope the suggestion was some slight reparation for the dreadful pun earlier. |
Subject: RE: Santa Claus, the Movie From: GUEST,Nigel Paterson Date: 24 Feb 06 - 10:42 AM Morticia, I forgave you DAYS ago!! If I have any luck with "The Stage" I'll post, Nigel P. |
