Subject: BS: Rapaire! How could we miss it? Subject: RE: BS: Rapaire! How could we miss it? From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 13 Feb 06 - 07:36 AM In base 3, Rapaire's birthdate, "0211", is the rquivalent of "9" in base 10. That assumes one expresses dates as month/date. In cultures or subcultures which express dates as date/month, Rapaire's birthday is "1102" which, in base 3, is the equivalent of "25" in base 10. I hope Rapaire had a happy 9 or 25, whichever he chose to have. Unless he chose to have his birthday in binary, in which case I hope he had a happy 11010011 or 1101001110001001110. |

Subject: RE: BS: Rapaire! How could we miss it? From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 13 Feb 06 - 01:18 PM By the way, Rapaire's birthday falls upon the 42nd day of the year. In addition to its oft-mentioned connection to a specific work of humorous pseudo-science-fiction, the reading of which seems to be a prerequisite for Mudcat membership, 42 is "101010" in binary. Ten-Ten-Ten was, of course, Rin-Tin-Tin's stunt double in the 1950s television show. What? You didn't think they'd actually let a big-name star like Rinty jump off those cliffs, did you? |
