Just listening to radio and an ex CIA guy said that the U.S. forces could have Bin Laden in days, but Bush wants him on the loose as if the guy was caught this would lead to troop withdrawals and weaken his Middle East assualt. Sounds realistic to me.

It would kind of put a damper on things if Bin Laden was not still on the loose, but don't forget, Iran's Amadhinejad (or however you spell it) is being groomed by the media as the new super-bad-guy-who-is-a-peril-to-the-whole-world-and-must-be-stopped anyway....the biggest obstacle to that process is that no American can figure out how to spell or pronounce his name. This makes it tough to market him.

Your story is off base. bin Laden could have been captured at Tora Bora by UK troops who were watching him with binoculars BUT when they informed the US commander they were told to wait entile US troops arrived so we could say the US got him

THREE HOURS later when the US arrived, the convoy was long gone and never seen again.
