Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: MBSLynne Date: 15 Feb 06 - 01:40 PM Georgiansilver, an old lady once commented on my height (or lack of it) and I used the "Good things come in small packages" cliche. "Yes" she said "Like poison and dynamite!" Love Lynne PS Does dynamite taste like vegemite and marmite? |
Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: Georgiansilver Date: 15 Feb 06 - 01:48 PM Yes but it reaches your taste buds quicker, and your tongue disappears.. Best wishes, Mike. |

Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: Bill D Date: 15 Feb 06 - 04:14 PM When I was in my 20s, I was 6'1"...now I'm 5'11.99946.... *sob*....no wonder the women quit clamoring over me! (*grin*...Peace, it's furlongs per fortnight that need to be calculated... my conversion calculator laughed at "furlongs to gills"...as did I) |
Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: Don Firth Date: 15 Feb 06 - 07:21 PM I was working on this when Mudguard posted. Same idea, slightly different perspective. 1.882750156813516768913389623812 x 10-16 light years. Don Firth |
Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: bobad Date: 15 Feb 06 - 07:29 PM "1.882750156813516768913389623812 x 10-16 light years." What would that be in furlongs per fortnight ? |
Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: GUEST Date: 15 Feb 06 - 07:36 PM What would that be in pints? |
Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: Scoville Date: 15 Feb 06 - 09:53 PM 5' 7.25" I'm very proud of that last quarter inch. It took me seven years to grow that much, between the ages of 14 and 21. My mother (5' 10") and brother (6' 3" at least) think I'm a midget. My supervisor (5' even, if you believe her) thinks I'm a giant, so I get smart-ass comments from both ends of the spectrum. |
Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: autolycus Date: 16 Feb 06 - 05:01 PM How tall do you want me to be? Auto |
Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: Peace Date: 16 Feb 06 - 05:20 PM I goes all the way from the soles of me feet to the top of me 'ead. |
Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: Don Firth Date: 16 Feb 06 - 06:00 PM Linear measurement can't be calculated in furlongs per fortnight. Furlongs per fortnight is a measure of speed, not distance, whereas a light-year is a measure of distance, not speed or time (people often get confused about this). Doing a quick-and-dirty, my height works out to approximately 0.0088383838383838383838383838383838 (etc.) furlongs. The speed of light is approximately 38,746,738.576 furlongs per fortnight. Going into measuring units of times gone by, my height is about 3.889 cubits. Don Firth |
Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: GUEST Date: 16 Feb 06 - 06:05 PM 6' in the morning and 5' 11 1/2" in the evening... I suffer from tides. |

Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: Scoville Date: 17 Feb 06 - 10:31 PM I guess that would make me 16.3 hands (and a quarter inch). |

Subject: RE: BS: How tall are you From: gnu Date: 18 Feb 06 - 08:32 AM Apparently you seldom cross the line, Rockhen. Filter "Tall Tales" for a few years and see what pops up. |
