I started this thread as part of a running joke, actually, involving a series of threads that ask dumb questions about things that don't matter, not because I was intent upon attacking cigarette smokers.

I do wish, though, that I had a dollar for every cigarette that Joni Mitchell has ever smoked, because if I did I would buy Hawaii. ;-)

My guess would be Joni Mitchell. I don't think I've seen a picture of her in at least 30 years where she didn't have a cigarette in her hand. And it has affected her voice. And that is a shame.
