Subject: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: Suffet Date: 18 Feb 06 - 03:30 PM Greetings: You can help curb snooping by the USA's National Security Agency. How? By overwhelming their software. Just copy the following word block and paste it into all your e-mail: Taliban Osama Ruby Ridge jihad Indonesia First Amendment Unabomber Hamas FARC WTC WTO CIA Saddam torture Assata Shakur Hugo Chavez Pakistan enriched uranium Valerie Plame Second Amendment Iran Eric Rudolph School of the Americas Randy Weaver anthrax Shining Path plutonium Afghanistan IED Madrid North Korea Theo Van Gogh Janet Reno ammonium nitrate Sandinista direct action cyanide Waco Fifth Amendment John Doe #2 Free Derry Helter Skelter Kathy Boudin Al-Aksa armored car IRS NAFTA CAFTA GAAT Fidel Castro London fast breeder reactor Subcomandante Marcos martyrdom Kosovo MOVE ELF FALN ETA anarchist letter bomb Special Air Service Chechnya New World Order Now that's pretty simple, isn't it? --- Steve |

Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: Bill D Date: 18 Feb 06 - 05:49 PM gee, Suffet...now you have Mudcat all set up for NSA to home in on thru Google! You know, of course, that the people likely to DO that pasting into email are just the ones that the NSA might like to watch...*grin* |

Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: Cluin Date: 18 Feb 06 - 06:38 PM The NSA is free to 'snoop' me all they want... Yeah, but you're just an old stage rat. You'd love the attention. It's an audience. ;) |

Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: Auggie Date: 18 Feb 06 - 06:55 PM So let me get this straight. If the bad guys out there are once again communicating to each other about how best to blow up innocent men, women, children and property, you are against preemptive measures to prevent this? You'd rather what? Wait until they do it again and see who goes to war against each other in the next aftermath? It's better if innocents are once again murdered than if someone reads your e-mails? Let me try not to understate this, but, and of course it's just IMHO, but, you're an idiot. |

Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 18 Feb 06 - 07:01 PM I wouldn't mind if they just chased the bad guys, but then tend to get paranoid about anybody... remember McCarthy and The HUAC. Wait on, how do you tell the difference... |

Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: GUEST,DB Date: 19 Feb 06 - 11:06 AM Suffet - tell me again, who are those men dressed in black and wearing ski masks? I only ask because I saw them snooping about your neighbourhood the other night. |

Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: JohnInKansas Date: 19 Feb 06 - 05:19 PM G DB - Having known a couple, I can assure you that "they" do NOT typically dress in black, and they would almost never wear ski masks. The typical dress is a reasonably conservative suit, albeit generally in "somber" colors and style. The sole infallibly indentifiable characteristic that distinguishes Federal (and some other) "investigative operatives" (overt and covert) is their constant wearing of "sun glasses" so that those being observed have difficulty telling exactly where they are looking. Since many of them spend such a large percentage of their time in "crowd observation" where the "shades" are mandatory, on those rare instances when they appear in public without them, they are immediately identifiable by the "untanned" area around the eyes - giving them somewhat the appearance of a tall raccoon. Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: GUEST,dianavan Date: 19 Feb 06 - 06:42 PM Yes, and those sunglasses are the mirror-type. We call them 'asshole' glasses. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 19 Feb 06 - 07:14 PM I used to have a pair of mirror sunglasses like in Cool Hand Luke. But nowadays I can't find them - where are they? I would prefer the polarised type too. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: Cluin Date: 19 Feb 06 - 11:03 PM I used to have apair too. Mine were mirrored, polarised and wraparound. They were for skiing. |

Subject: RE: BS: Help stop NSA snooping! From: Suffet Date: 19 Feb 06 - 11:37 PM Guest DB, please don't poke fun. I sent for my FBI file many years ago and it was 199 pages. I kid you not. But then I was quite the radical activist at one time. In 1968 I even got indicted by a grand jury in Washington, DC, for conspiracy to violate the Selective Service Act along with 29 other people. The indictment was sealed pending the outcome of the appeals in the Benjamin Spock - William S. Coffin case, and in 1970 it was dismissed without being filed. The 30 of us were never prosecuted, because thereafter the US Justice Department stopped going after anti-war activists unless they could allege acts of violence (as they did in Chicago, Harrisburg, Gainesville, and Seattle). Our "conpiracy" was conspicuously non-violent. The irony is that the indictment was obtained by the so-called "liberal" Justice Department of Attorney-General Ramsey Clark, but it was dismissed at the request of the so-called "repressive" Justice Department of John Mitchell. So I am not paranoid. My fear is fully grounded in material reality. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself. --- Steve |
