Subject: BS: The War on Suspicion From: Little Hawk Date: 27 Feb 06 - 02:04 PM Once the War on Terror has been successfully won, and terror has been eliminated, what then? Why, the War on Suspicion, of course! You won't be terrified any longer, but I bet you'll still be a wee bit suspicious. I know I will. Yessir, suspicion can lurk even beneath the calmest outward demeanour. Well, actions are afoot to ensure that your suspicions will not go unheeded! Subject: RE: BS: The War on Suspicion From: CarolC Date: 27 Feb 06 - 02:51 PM I'd like to have a war on blow-hardism and grandstanding. Wouldn't that be lovely? Just think of all the people we could nab with that one. |

Subject: RE: BS: The War on Suspicion From: Greg F. Date: 28 Feb 06 - 10:31 AM No worries. The "War on Terror"[sic] isn't going to be "won". Is isn't SUPPOSED to be- political control is exacted by the process. |

Subject: RE: BS: The War on Suspicion From: Little Hawk Date: 28 Feb 06 - 11:30 AM That's true. But it may in time be necessary to replace the War on Terror with a new slogan which revitalizes the ongoing effort to totally delude the American public and keep conflict going, and the War on Suspicion could do that nicely, I think. |

Subject: RE: BS: The War on Suspicion From: Little Hawk Date: 28 Feb 06 - 02:07 PM The War on Unexpressed Resentment! (thank Amos for that) |

Subject: RE: BS: The War on Suspicion From: Don Firth Date: 28 Feb 06 - 02:16 PM If we were to decree a War on Idiocy, it could usher in a whole new political climate. Worth a thought. . . . Don Firth |

Subject: RE: BS: The War on Suspicion From: bobad Date: 28 Feb 06 - 02:23 PM "The War on Unexpressed Resentment!" Who would be the no.1 enemy? |

Subject: RE: BS: The War on Suspicion From: Little Hawk Date: 28 Feb 06 - 02:26 PM Hard to say. The best solution would be just to attack everyone...just in case. Don, I think the War on Idiocy would be unwinnable. That's my feeling. |

Subject: RE: BS: The War on Suspicion From: Amos Date: 28 Feb 06 - 02:32 PM I think a "War on Unexpressed Resentment" would be fun and easy. Instead of torturing people, you just nag them until they're guilty as charged of unexpressed resentment. If they express resentment you get them for being disloyal, eh? Piece o' cake. A |

Subject: RE: BS: The War on Suspicion From: Little Hawk Date: 28 Feb 06 - 02:35 PM I think it's the most brilliant concept ever proposed on the subject, Amos, and you should first copyright it, then go straight to the White House and sell it to Dubya and Karl Rove. |
