I have been trying to get rid of a veruca for a year. I am lazy on a daily basis, but I get it blasted by the chiropodits weekl and it won't go.

Anybody else had the same problem ?

Not for that long. A bottle of whisky and a sharp pointed craft knife, and plenty of cotton wool and antiseptic. That got rid of the bugger.

what treatment has the chiropodist used? The two main effective ones are compounds containing salicylic acid, and cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen. Some people believe it is better to let your body get rid of them itself, as it makes them less likely to come back.

How does your body get rid of them ? I took some tablets for my immune sysetm ( I think !?), but they didn't help much eiether !

I kept a regular type wart covered with duct tape...finally just fell off. Don't know if it will work for plantar. Also, milkweed juice is often reccomended.

That's "plantar wart," not "plantar's wart." "Plantar" is an adjective meaning "pertaining to the sole of the foot."
