Subject: RE: BS: verucas on your feet From: GUEST,Lord of Miss Rule Date: 28 Feb 06 - 11:40 AM Not for that long. A bottle of whisky and a sharp pointed craft knife, and plenty of cotton wool and antiseptic. That got rid of the bugger. |

Subject: RE: BS: verucas on your feet From: GUEST Date: 28 Feb 06 - 11:51 AM what treatment has the chiropodist used? The two main effective ones are compounds containing salicylic acid, and cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen. Some people believe it is better to let your body get rid of them itself, as it makes them less likely to come back. |
Subject: RE: BS: verucas on your feet From: GUEST,PK Date: 28 Feb 06 - 11:56 AM How does your body get rid of them ? I took some tablets for my immune sysetm ( I think !?), but they didn't help much eiether ! |
Subject: RE: BS: verucas on your feet From: bobad Date: 28 Feb 06 - 11:58 AM "You take and split the bean, and cut the wart so as to get some blood, and then you put the blood on one piece of the bean and take and dig a hole and bury it 'bout midnight at the crossroads in the dark of the moon, and then you burn up the rest of the bean. You see that piece that's got the blood on it will keep drawing and drawing, trying to fetch the other piece to it, and so that helps the blood to draw the wart, and pretty soon off she comes." Subject: RE: BS: verucas on your feet From: Sorcha Date: 28 Feb 06 - 12:04 PM I kept a regular type wart covered with duct tape...finally just fell off. Don't know if it will work for plantar. Also, milkweed juice is often reccomended. |

Subject: RE: BS: verucas on your feet From: Jim Dixon Date: 28 Feb 06 - 02:58 PM That's "plantar wart," not "plantar's wart." "Plantar" is an adjective meaning "pertaining to the sole of the foot." |
