Subject: BS: By any means necessary From: Donuel Date: 09 Mar 06 - 02:33 PM Bush declares war on the "free" press. http://www.capitolhillblue.com/blog/2006/03/bush_declares_war_on_freedom_o.html I would assume that this would include overt means to intimidate and covert means to eliminate. |

Subject: RE: BS: By any means necessary From: Peace Date: 09 Mar 06 - 02:40 PM Unfortunately, much of the so-called free press have brought this on themselves. When news people sell out to government, it makes it easier to keep selling out. Then to completely control. The free press fell in line so readily when the Iraq invasion was about to happen. They tweaked the news to fit the situation. This is the result. |

Subject: RE: BS: By any means necessary From: autolycus Date: 10 Mar 06 - 06:01 PM Point of information Would Dubya be doing this if it wasn't a left-wing press? Just asking from 3000 miles away. And am I in danger for asking? Ivor |

Subject: RE: BS: By any means necessary From: Barry Finn Date: 11 Mar 06 - 01:32 AM This was just in time for the renewing of the Patriot Acts. The news media kept the renewing as a low profile event & now they that they've been used & abused (it's there own damn fault) they have been turned on. They are now useless to the American public, not that the citizenry really cares, maybe that'll change but I'm sure that the government is counting on that they don't. The motto for the Bush administration should be "Don't worry we can count on the people not to care enough". So this comes as no surprise. I think that the next elections will be our turning point. If the country decides not to make a landslide & it's has to be a landslide to avoid side swipe, & keep in the right wing we will crash hard & forget the rightous right they'll find they're place beside the reporters & the rest of us, coming in without a wing & completely out of prayers. Some of us have seen this coming for a long time, others are just catching on, then there'll be those that won't know what hit them, they'll never see it coming, that's shock & awe! But there will be those that will be keeping on with the president's line on "IN THE BEST INTERERTS OF US ALL". They will be the ones crying "WHAT HAPPENED". And the answer will come with a bullet to the head from some nazi look alike kid whose last words that you'll ever hear will be "FUCK YOU citizen". Maybe a little over the top here but it's not to far of a stretch. Or is it? Barry |
