Portugal is a high hill with a white watch tower on it flying signal flags.
It is apparently inhabited by one man who lives in a long row of yellow houses with red roofs, and populated by sheep who do grand acts of balancing on the side of the hill.

My daughter and son in law went to Vermont for his first year of law school. They called me the night of their arrival and I asked what it looks like. Does Vermont, I asked, have green hills and cows and villages and white, steepled churches?

In the background my son in law said, Tell her that that's all there is.

Blackpool is staffed by women in cozzies who are either stunners with 36B cups or middle-aged gargoyles. The blokes all wear flat caps.
