Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Rapparee Date: 22 Mar 06 - 09:16 PM It's called "Reincarnation" by Wallace McRae. What is reincarnation? A cowboy asked his friend. It starts, his old pal told him, when your life comes to an end. They wash your neck and comb your hair and clean your fingernails, And put you in a padded box away from life's travails. The box and you goes in a hole that's been dug in the ground. Reincarnation starts in when you're planted 'neath that mound. Them clods melt down, just like the box, and you who is inside. And that's when you begin your transformation ride. And in a while the grass will grow upon your rendered mound, Until some day, upon that spot, a lonely flower is found. And then a horse may wander by and graze upon that flower That once was you, and now has become your vegetated bower. Now, the flower that the horse done eat, along with his other feed, Makes bone and fat and muscle essential to the steed. But there's a part that he can't use and so it passes through. And there it lies upon the ground, this thing that once was you. And if perchance, I should pass by and see this on the ground, I'll stop awhile and ponder at this object that I've found. I'll think about Reincarnation and life and death and such, And come away concludin', why, you ain't changed all that much. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Alba Date: 22 Mar 06 - 09:22 PM ROFL...see now that's why I want to come back as a Horse not a Tiger. Good one Rapaire and a nod of course to Mr McRae:) Jude |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: bobad Date: 22 Mar 06 - 09:25 PM Love it Rap, my idea of reincarnation in a nutshell. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Rapparee Date: 22 Mar 06 - 09:27 PM Then there was the old cowboy who wanted his skin tanned and turned into a side-saddle after he was dead so that what he loved the most would be on top of him all the time.... |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: The Shambles Date: 23 Mar 06 - 04:11 AM Sex is one of the nine reasons for reincarnation... the other eight are unimportant. Henry Miller |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: mooman Date: 23 Mar 06 - 04:40 AM Tiger! Gggggrrrrrr..... Peace moo |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: JennyO Date: 23 Mar 06 - 04:58 AM "Tan me 'ide when I'm dead, Fred, Tan me 'ide when I'm dead." So they tanned 'is 'ide when 'e died, Clyde, And that's it 'angin' on the shed! All together now....... |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: JennyO Date: 23 Mar 06 - 05:13 AM I just took the test and got: "Your next life shall be as a giraffe. Almost 30% of people will be reincarnated as a higher form of life than you. You're not perfect, but you've led a better life than most. With a few changes now, your next life could be even better." |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Crystal Date: 23 Mar 06 - 05:34 AM I'm going to be a bear apparently! It didn't say what type though, personally I'm looking for Polar bear, after all its a top predetor and the chances of being killed by hunmters much lower! |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Alba Date: 23 Mar 06 - 06:23 AM Crystal, just one thing....location, location, location **grin** Dare I suggest a Giant Panda Bear in the next Life? If it looks like your in a spot of endangerment then some kind folks will whisk you off to a secure enviroment and feed you Bamboo and fly in potential Girl/Boy partners. Folks will oo and aah over your beauty, forgeting that you are a Bear and seeing you as more of a big cuddly toy:) Besides at the rate of Global warming it would appear that the Poles are melting...this ain't a good thing for Polar Bears. I am stuck with being a Tiger ITNL I suppose so as Mooman says..Grrrrrrr...(unless I find out what changes I am required to make in order to earn a Horse reincarnation vacation!) Jude |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Paul Burke Date: 23 Mar 06 - 06:40 AM What's higher than a giraffe? a kite? |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: gnu Date: 23 Mar 06 - 06:53 AM Apparently, a panda is. I wonder what the top 7% is/are? I must try to answer all the questions "correctly" and see. Anyone try this yet? |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: kendall Date: 23 Mar 06 - 06:59 AM Another elephant. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Alba Date: 23 Mar 06 - 07:14 AM If you find out how I can achieve a bloody horse would you let me know Gnu:) Ta muchly Jude |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: jacqui.c Date: 23 Mar 06 - 07:42 AM gnu - I got to be a shark - only 5% above me. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: JennyO Date: 23 Mar 06 - 08:28 AM What's higher than a giraffe? Yes, that thought occurred to me too. I must admit I rather like the idea of a giraffe - being only 5ft 1 and short-sighted in this life. I'd have a whole new perspective, wouldn't I! |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Rapparee Date: 23 Mar 06 - 08:48 AM A cowboy. There are -56% higher than that. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: SINSULL Date: 23 Mar 06 - 09:07 AM A lion - and apparently the only one. I think it was the $2 question that determined my fate. But the questions are ridiculous...or at least the answer choices. Most didn't apply. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: kendall Date: 23 Mar 06 - 11:05 AM Let's not build a religion around this thing! It's entertainment, nothing more. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: gnomad Date: 23 Mar 06 - 11:16 AM Hang it, Kendall, you mean I have to wait and see? |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Kweku Date: 23 Mar 06 - 11:19 AM a tiger. but has anyone thought about the destination.imagine coming back as a tiger and ending up in a zoo or an area full of hunters/poaches, looking for a tiger's teeth. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Alba Date: 23 Mar 06 - 02:50 PM Now you've done it Quarco!,**Big Grin**, I was thinking there I would be roaming wild and free, Now I am thinking what I will I do when I'm in a Zoo. That does it, I am going back and finding another afterlife :) Jude |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Alba Date: 23 Mar 06 - 02:52 PM Quarcoo, I was sure that I had put the double 'O' on the end of your Name but apparently I didn't. Sorry:) J |

Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: JohnInKansas Date: 24 Mar 06 - 12:02 AM Well it says that 9% will be better than me. I guess the next life will be one hello of a step down... John |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Kweku Date: 24 Mar 06 - 03:13 AM hey! interestingly no body is coming back as a vegetable. hmmmmm! or is because vegetable is consumed by everybody or the compilers of this reincarnation station are vegetable eaters. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: jacqui.c Date: 24 Mar 06 - 08:09 AM I want to know why a shark is considered to be a higher form of life, with only 5% above it. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: gnu Date: 24 Mar 06 - 08:14 AM Perhaps it is because the shark is such a simple creature? |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: jacqui.c Date: 24 Mar 06 - 08:22 AM Top one must be GWB then. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Rapparee Date: 24 Mar 06 - 09:13 AM So that's where the vegetables are! |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: GUEST,dianavan Date: 24 Mar 06 - 01:24 PM I'm coming back as a horse. Do I get to choose what kind of horse? I don't want to be a racehorse but I think I would like to be an RCMP horse that patrols the parks. Actually, there are quite a few opportunities for horses. On second thought, I want to be a member of the last herd of wild horses in B.C. My first choice would be to become an Appaloosa. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: gnu Date: 24 Mar 06 - 01:51 PM GWB? Jac... hahahaha, good one. Horse? A lot of people seem to like the horse. Of course, if I tried that, I'd probably come back as an ass. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: jacqui.c Date: 24 Mar 06 - 05:06 PM I think asses are cute - especially when they ain't wrinkled! |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: Sorcha Date: 24 Mar 06 - 06:05 PM Says I'm gonna be an elephant.... |

Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: GUEST,dianavan Date: 25 Mar 06 - 01:59 AM well thats better than becoming a white elephant. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Reincarnation Station From: JennyO Date: 25 Mar 06 - 09:15 AM or a wrinkled pink one... elephant that is..... |
