Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: Rasener Date: 22 Apr 06 - 03:41 PM Can anybody recommend somewhere to eat on Thursday evening 27th April My family and I have rented a house up on West Cliff area and would prefer somewhere close by so I don't have to drive, then I can have a drink or two :-) We have 2 daughters aged 10 and 14, so do not want a stuffy type of we don't like families place and preferably somewhere that doesn't allow smoking. We are not into McDonalds type crap and do not want a fish and chip type place. Is there an Italian close by that does something more than just Pizzas? Indian restaurants are out as one daughter doesn't like Indian. Be pleased to hear of any suggestions. Les Worrall |
Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: ossonflags Date: 23 Apr 06 - 04:20 AM There is an excellant Italian restaurant next door to the "Endeavour"pub. |
Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: Rasener Date: 23 Apr 06 - 06:04 AM Thanks Ossenflags, we saw that place last year and wondered if it was OK. We will give it a try. I was hoping there would be one around the North Terrace area. I can only see a chinky. Not sure if that is any good. |
Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: rock chick Date: 23 Apr 06 - 06:34 AM Sorry can't be there as I will be off on the 29th in the sun for 15 days so enjoy it everyone, hope the weather is kind, see you all soon. rc x |

Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: LesB Date: 24 Apr 06 - 05:16 PM No Garrigas! Shock Horror! I'll have to stuff my face in The Granby then. Cheers Les |
Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: gnomad Date: 24 Apr 06 - 08:04 PM Garrigas is indeed no more. Site is under refurbishment with papered-over windows, but new signage indicates a bar/bistro. We'll see how it turns out. Further along we are supposed to have a new Indian eatery, but they are apparently having trouble recruiting a chef, so that one is also a "wait and see" at present. |
Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: Rasener Date: 25 Apr 06 - 02:20 AM The weather forecast looks very promising (If they ever get it right) See following link Whitby 5 day Forecast |

Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: flaj Date: 25 Apr 06 - 05:53 PM Hi Folks, Can anyone advise me where unofficial sessions happen at Moor and Coast as I've not been before, but have stewarded at Whitby Folk Weeks in August. I enjoy George Garside's organised ones but am playing for Morris sides in Goathland or elsewhere when his are on so can't get to them. Will be there from Friday pm to Monday so any suggestions as to likely venues, particularly evening ones would be useful. Flaj. |
Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: GUEST,Raggytash Date: 26 Apr 06 - 03:59 AM Black Horse and Endeavour are two likely venues for "fringe" singing |
Subject: RE: Moor & Coast Festival - Whitby From: Paco Rabanne Date: 26 Apr 06 - 04:21 AM I had a fringe when I was a small boy. |
