This may be just a coincidence, but there is a children's foot stomping chant called "You Aint Goin Nowhere".

I have no idea what the source {if any} of this footstomping chant is. It's probably unlikely that it came from the "I Ain't Goin' Nowhere" song by Geoff Mack/Rick Moranis that is posted above.

Who knows. Maybe Mack/Moranis heard the foot stomping cheer and that gave them the idea for the song.

has been around since about 1959...almost 50 years...

i wouldn't be surprised if every language in the world has a version of it...

And I wonder whether this song would have been known to African American children. Could it have been the basis of rhis children's rhyme?
