Open Mike seems like an interesting idea. I couldn't watch the presentation though. Too boring. Now if it was in print so that I could skim it... say in the New York Times! Then it would be good.

Yeah, I saw it last year.

It could be. Then again it might not be. I suspect that it won't be.

Consider this: Royal Phillips Electronics has filed a patent with the US Patent Office for a gadget that can be used by television stations to prevent you from changing channels during a commercial. If it can be used during commercials it can be used to prevent you from changing channels at all.

Of course, it would only work on those of us who actually watch television....

You can always turn the dadgum thing off. When they invent a doohickey to keep me from turning it off, I'll unplug it & get my $$ back.
